This Book Provides the commentary of Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura on Bhagavad Gita. Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura needs no introduction among the followers of Lord Caitanya. He is known for his inspiring explanations filled with sweet realizations of Kṛṣṇa. His commentary on the Bhagavad-gītā called Sārārtha-varṣiṇī, “showering the real meaning” likewise reveals a sweetness not found in other commentaries on the Gītā. His commentary explains the Gītā from the perspective of pure bhakti defined by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī as uttama-bhakti and emphasizes the sweetness and mercy of Kṛṣṇa above all else. This gives it a distinction among the various commentaries on the Gītā. At the same time, it is a reasonable and simple explanation of the text, supporting itself with ample proof from the Śrīmad-bhāgavatam. Thus it is accessible to the majority of readers.
